When is the last time you’ve seen a lion in person? Living in the Midwest, chances are it was behind glass or in a cage at a zoo. A lion is a picture of strength, courage, and danger—but in captivity, it often looks restless, bored, and without purpose. We know that’s not how it’s supposed to be… and deep down, neither are you.
Guy Challenge is an event exclusively built for men.
This is a call to break out of passivity and become the bold, courageous, and powerful men of God we were created to be. Follow the Lion of Judah, Jesus, and step into the strength and purpose you were made for.
Don’t stay caged—rise up and follow the Lion.

Hey! I’m Pastor James Shade. I’ve personally experienced the life-changing power of Jesus, and my greatest passion is helping others discover how God can transform their lives too.
For 33 years, my incredible wife, Kim, has been by my side as we’ve raised our four amazing kids together. My family is one of God’s greatest gifts to me.
I also have ADHD—and I truly see it as a God-given superpower. It fuels my energy, creativity, and passion for sharing the love of Jesus wherever I go.

Jesse's journey, rooted in the transformative power of Jesus, showcases remarkable resilience through generational curses, anxiety, depression, and spiritual trials. Since 2004, he has led worship across Midwest churches and founded 513FREE, a music ministry that performed nearly 800 shows nationwide and released three albums, spreading hope in prisons, rehab centers, and beyond. His music, influenced by his struggles, blends worship, pop/rock, hip-hop, and folk, resonating with a broad audience. Jesse's story is a testament to faith, transformation, and redemption.
